 This city can never tire of two things- shopping and partying. For the shopaholic fashionista, here's yet another destination to shop – Poonam Bajaj's store. The Citrine, situated in Kalkaji. The store was formally launched at The Park on Wednesday with a fashion show and a party.

The store has interiors designed by Bollywood damsel-turned-de-signer Twinkle Khanna and will house a range of designer wear from the likes of Manju and Bobby Grover, Rahul and Gunjan of the brand Sirali, Lascelles Symons, among others.

“The notion of designer clothing being out of many people's reach is going to change with this store. We will house something chic for every kind of customer. I myself have experienced the lack of shopping places in the city, so this is my attempt to fill in the gap,” said Bajaj. The clothes, she said, would not be loud or jazzy but minimal and stylish.

The craze of design stores seems to be catching up with designers as many of them suffer from the dearth of retail space. “Design stores give us a wider clientele as they cater to the needs of various types of customers,” said designer Rahul of the brand Sirali.

Post event, the guests got a chance to lighten their purses by picking a piece or two showcased at the show.
